The Hotel has been serving the local area for many years, but with the present owners has undergone extensive refurbishment.It can boast a well proportioned bar and restaurant, a natural mountain stream runs through the restaurant adding real charm to the dining area. The attractive, comfortable accommodation is a perfect base from which visitors can explore the rich heritage of the area.
The Hotel is situated in the Clydach gorge, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Gorge is famous for its 18th century iron works and is ideally situated for walking the many footpaths in the area. The Gorge is also a place of natural beauty with tremendous views everywhere. The Hotel is internationally acclaimed. We cater for up to seventy people and can provide a charming venue with trained staff at your service.

The hotel is in close proximity to: Llangorse Lake, Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre, Dan yr Ogof Showcaves, Big Pit Mining Museum and Brecon Mountain Railway. The market town of Abergavenny is 5 miles away with interesting shops and museum. Golf, fishing, pony trekking and canal boating can be arranged.
The hotel is accessed from two car parks which are both tarmac surfaced. There are three main entrances to the hotel. As you look at the hotel the left hand door is the entrance for residents and to the reception/residents lounge via two steps. The middle door is the main hotel entrance to the bar and restaurant via one step into the hotel. The right hand door has wheelchair access via a ramp into the restaurant then bar area on request. Access to the men’s and ladies toilets are at floor level and have disabled access and facilities ie. bars and grab rails in the toilets. Accommodation. All guest rooms are on the first floor (15 steps), we do not have a lift or stair lift only a hand rail to assist to this floor for guests. We do not have facilities for disabled guests in the rooms.
